Meet your Captain and Crew

Captain John British Captain, John Gould has spent 40 years at sea, 27 of those with the Royal Navy. Those years nurtured his sailing, seamanship, navigation and engineering skills to a high degree. Since his retirement in 1990, John has worked in the leisure boat industry in England, Spain and France. The last eight years has been spent exploring the various islands of the Caribbean. John's other interests are model making and maritime history.

Heidi Wheeler, Shipmate The last eight years have been spent exploring the various islands in the Caribbean. She is indespensable to the operations of Antillean. Hailing from Connecticut, she has now clocked up about 35,000 miles under sail. Heidi has previously worked with many catering establishments in New England and other areas of the U.S.A. Heidi's skills range from an English pub lunch and American cuisine, to Indian, Thai and many other International dishes. Heidi's other interests are adding to her comprehensive collection of seashells and equestian activities whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Smee (Amazonia Amazonicus) A native of Trinidad, Smee provides constant entertainment with her acrobatics and chattering. Her main interests are calling to passing birds and boats, asking for coffee and biscuits and looking for children to play with.
